A few dates to remember -

On July 25th Calynn was seen climbing stairs completely by herself for the first time. I was straightening couch pillows in the same room, only to turn around and see her up two stairs and on our little landing. What a surprise!

On July 28th Jeff was leaving for a night out of town and Calynn and I were walking him to his car. We picked a flower along the way to give him. I sniffed the flower dramatically and then put it near her nose. For the first time she copied my sniff and has been doing it ever since. It's soooo cute.

Calynn has been eating more for us lately, and we keep trying to offer different foods to see what we can get her to eat. Here she is eating her first plum, we left it whole and just took off the skin. It was slippery to hold onto, but she wanted to do it herself and she succeeded in eating it down to the pit. Sadly she had just gotten cleaned up and changed before this because she ended up with plum juice from her hair to her toes!

Calynn's first time swimming! We can't believe that we didn't get to take her in our pool until the end of July, but we were thankful for the opportunity, and she loved it.

We had a play date today with her cousins Gianna, Nelo and Thabi.

Calynn met Melissa's cousins Jen and Chris for the first time.
She really seemed to enjoy showing off for them.

Today Calynn fed herself a banana for the first time.
She is getting better and better at deciding what size bite to take.
