A little bored as we waited for Jeff. He was test driving a new car since our lease is up.

May 21

Playing with our storage ottoman where Calynn's living room toys and books now live. It was her first time pulling up all the way from sitting to standing without another persons help. I suspect the 360 support had something to do with it.

Playing with her Papa at a resturant for lunch before we head back home.

Proud to be sitting in a resturant high chair for the first time. (Can you spot her teeth?)

The new face of excitment around here

We walked around a little farm, and posed in front of this sweet horse.

We didn't end up getting to go to the Lilac festival, so we posed in front of a lilac in their yard.

We went to Rochester to visit Jeff's parents, and Calynn spent her first night away from home. Here she is with her Papa and their dog Tobey. Calynn scared Tobey a little, but she loved looking at him.

No picture to document the event, but Calynn sat up completely by herself for the first time today. She was playing in her bedroom laying on the floor while I was packing for our trip. The next time I glanced over she was sitting up! During the same playtime she also really moved across the room without rolling for the first time. She wasn't crawling on her hands and knees, but she pulled with her hands and pushed with her toes and got to where she wanted to be. She's growing up so fast!

Mother's Day 2009

Calynn and I first thing in the morning, dancing while Jeff is cooking breakfast.

Calynn pleased that she got a hold of my Champagne glass (No mimosa left, don't worry)

In front of one of our Lilac bushes outside

Heading up to bed after a fun day of feeling much better thank goodness

I took Calynn to the Doctors to get checked out, she seemed a bit sicker then I thought was appropriate for just teething symptoms. It turned out that my mother's intuition was correct, Calynn has some sort of cold/virus and her first ear infection on top of teething. As one can imagine she was having a rough time. While grasping at straws to make her feel more comfortable - we tried putting her in the swing, which she hadn't been using much the past month or so. As you can see we had success for a while! Calynn also saw her first rainbow on saturday. We like to think it's a sign showing her that after we weather a storm (or illness) there's beauty on the other side.
